Pals?

Three of my favorite creatures : two toed sloth, raccoon and a fruit bat. There should be a fable written about these guys.

Before we have a finished feltie, there are many stages.

Sri Krishna

Ah dear sweet, Krishna. I found that even though the Hindu god felties would  steadily become more detailed,  I still could not do my favorite god justice.

Lord Ganesha in felt

Lord Ganesha in felt

This is the first in a series of Hindu gods I am doing in felt. Each is two of a kind. One for me and one bartered in exchange for awesome thai massage! I’ve enjoyed working on these (more pics to come). They are certainly more detailed then anything I have done before and I like vaguely meditating of the imagery and symbolism as I create it in felt. Though it is on of the smallest and simplest parts of this feltie, the mouse at Lord Ganesha’s right foot is my favorite part. Traditionally this mouse represents desire. Specifically how one needs to keep desire under control. Amen.

A is for Apple and B is for Bear... OF course

The first two in a new Feltie series made exclusively for Eleni and Zoe Marousis. I plan on doing 2 a month until all 26 letters are done. I have C for Cat done, but D for Dog has been troublesome.
